About Hout Bay Gallery
We are a family run, contemporary Cape Town art gallery focusing on painting, sculpture and fine art prints. We represent an exciting selection of emerging and established South African artists.
Hout Bay Gallery was founded in 1974. Since current owners John and Marika Hargitai took over in 1998, HBG has grown to be a significant presence on the Cape Town art scene.
Our gallery is in Hout Bay, a lovely seaside suburb on the Atlantic Seaboard of Cape Town. We have been in our current premises since mid 2005.
We freight art all over the world and crate the work ourselves to our exacting standards. We take full responsibility for the freighting.
