Helder Batista

Born in Paris in 1964, Helder Batista now lives and works in the south of France.
He exhibits internationally and is a self-taught painter and sculptor.

Helder approaches his subject matter playfully, welcoming discussion but resisting projections of specific programs onto his pieces.

His paintings are based on Abstract Impressionism. He tries to represent things as simply as possible without any frills or excess so that people can project their own ideas and own vision through his work.
